Blood 'N' Bubble movies (feature films that include underwater dive scenes ) for the most part are products of the American film industry. The vast majority of the B&B movies have been produced in the USA.
Even though Canada has a growing film industry very few underwater films have been produced in this country. One of the notable exceptions is the movie featured in this edition's quiz. Pictured above Ernest Borgnine and Yivevet Mimieux share some air after their undersea lab is damaged by an underwater tremor. The pair are waiting for rescue and time is running out. What is slowing down the rescue team are giant mutant sea creatures (lion fish, sea horses and diver eating eels) who have been released into the waters off the coast of Nova Scotia. Made in 1973, it's the Posedin Adventure set on the floor of the Grand Banks. Name the Film.

In 1973 Daniel Petrie directed Canada's first Blood 'n' Bubble movie entitled the Neptune Factor starring Yivevet Mimieux, Ernest Borgnine, Walter Pidgeon and Chris Wiggins. The story involves the rescue of a crew of Canadian scientists trapped in an undersea lab in the aftermath of a crippling ocean floor tremor. It is a race against time and against bad tempered big fish. The shake-up on the sea bed has released a number of mutant giants who have a taste for neoprene wrapped divers. The killer fish sequences are best described as salt water Cheese Wiz! It looks like the film cameras were placed against the side of a dentist's fish tank and a tiny model of a mini sub was dropped in among the gobbies and lion fish . Image a 20 ft seahorse bobbing along the ice cold bottom of the Grand Banks along with other tropical fish. The resulting footage was then blown up in the magnitude of 200 or 300 %. The Neptune Factor is still available in video stores under a variety of titles including the Neptune Disaster and An Underwater Odyssey.Rating - 1 Bubble
