DIVER magazine at SHIPWRECK 2013

The Niagara Divers’ Association will present its 19th annual Shipwrecks Symposium Saturday, April 6, 2013 and DIVER Magazine will be there! A popular event for Ontario and New York State area divers, the event is staged in Welland, Ontario.

This one-day symposium on shipwrecks features multimedia presentations and internationally known speakers from the United States and Canada. This year speakers include DIVER Magazine contributors Robert Osborne, Cris Kohl and Jim and Pat Stayer.

There are eight primary multimedia presentations on the program, which are:

Gerry Altoff: The Battle of Lake Erie
Tony Gramer: Tragedy Strikes in Seven Minutes
Jim Kennard: HMS Ontario
Cris Kohl / Joan Forsberg: Shipwreck Tales of Chicago
Robert Osborne: Pirates of the East Coast
Jim / Pat Stayer: Tuskegee Airacobra Down
Dave Trotter: Vanishing Points
John Veber: Long Point and its Shipwrecks

As well, there will be several five minute short talks throughout the day highlighting new presenters telling their stories of new freshwater wreck discoveries. Speakers will have tables set up to meet and greet symposium attendees, sell videos, books, sign autographs, etc. Terms of sale: cash only! DIVER Magazine will have a display table at the Wreck Festival.

Welland, Ontario

The school features an 1,100 seat auditorium with theater style seating and an excellent sound system. Welland is a 45 minute drive from Buffalo, New York, and a 75 minute drive from Toronto.

Sysmposium tickets are $44 – $49 per person and include lunch. Parking is free.
