The Camera
Switch effortlessly underwater between colorful 20.1 megapixel stills and high-resolution HD 720p video with a single package. Be ready for anything you come across with the possibility of shooting wide angle, portrait, and macro on the same dive – all framed beautifully by the L30’s super-bright 3.0-inch LCD screen. An all-important built-in flash is equally useful for triggering your strobe to add color to your underwater photos, or for capturing your dive buddy’s antics during Happy Hour. A 5x optical zoom glass lens transitions the camera perfectly for above-water use so that you can craft a complete story of your trip.

Flash
An included flash diffuser improves lighting quality when the camera’s built-in flash is used. A built-in flash is effective between 1-3 feet (0.3-0.9m) from the subject in clear conditions. For best results a color correcting filter or external lighting is recommended. External lighting is more powerful than the camera’s flash and can be placed in a position to virtually eliminate the backscatter, or “snow,” from your underwater images.

Wide Angle, Macro + Filters
The housing port is designed to accept 3.0-inch diameter color filters, and wide angle or macro options with 67mm threads. Light is absorbed very quickly as it passes through water. A subject will look darker, less colorful and somewhat grainy when viewed through even a few feet of water. The addition of a compatible wide angle accessory expands the camera’s field of view underwater, providing the opportunity to get as close as possible to the subject and reduce the amount of water light passes through. The results speak for themselves – photos with the best color, exposure and clarity possible.

Form Meets Function
Durable clear polycarbonate construction provides a unique view of the camera to ensure correct waterproof installation and confidence underwater. The camera installs with drop-in loading for quick and easy set up. Simply close the side latch and see the o-ring form a solid black, watertight seal. Large, ergonomic controls provide access to all important camera functions.
